How to specify outdoor furniture for a coastal site

Coastal outdoor furniture from PalmaYard Pro is specified for salt first and style second. Within sight of the sea, use powder-coated aluminum with a pretreated substrate, grade 316 stainless fixings, teak and solution-dyed fabrics; avoid plain steel and unsealed mixed-metal joints. The coastal look itself comes from white or sand frames, blue and natural weaves, and open layouts that keep sight lines to the water.

Frames
Powder-coated aluminum with pretreatment suited to marine exposure; teak for warmth. Plain carbon steel is not suitable near salt water.
Fixings
Grade 316 stainless steel fasteners and glides. Isolate dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion.
Textiles
Solution-dyed acrylic or olefin with quick-dry foam and drainage, so cushions recover after spray and rain.
Watch for
Salt builds up even on good finishes. Write a fresh-water rinse into the maintenance plan, more often on windward sides.
Questions buyers ask

Questions about coastal outdoor projects

Short answers on materials, planning and sourcing for this direction. Project-specific details are confirmed in the proposal.

What outdoor furniture material is best near the ocean?

Powder-coated aluminum and teak are the most dependable choices in salt air, combined with grade 316 stainless fixings and solution-dyed fabrics. Avoid plain steel and wrought iron close to the water, where coating damage quickly turns into rust.

How should coastal outdoor furniture be maintained?

Rinse frames with fresh water regularly to remove salt, check feet and fixings each season, and store or cover cushions in storms. Ask for the finish specification and care guide with the quotation so the routine is agreed before delivery.
